Counter-Strike: Global Offensive

Counter-Strike: Global Offensive (CS: GO) will expand upon the team-based action gameplay that it pioneered when it was launched 14 years ago.

CS: GO features new maps, characters, and weapons and delivers updated versions of the classic CS content (de_dust, etc.). In addition, CS: GO will introduce new gameplay modes, matchmaking, leader boards, and more.

«Counter-Strike took the gaming industry by surprise when the unlikely MOD became the most played online PC action game in the world almost immediately after its release in August 1999,» said Doug Lombardi at Valve. «For the past 12 years, it has continued to be one of the most-played games in the world, headline competitive gaming tournaments and selling over 25 million units worldwide across the franchise. CS: GO promises to expand on CS’ award-winning gameplay and deliver it to gamers on the PC as well as the next gen consoles and the Mac.»

READ THIS BEFORE BUYING!!!This is a very poorly designed game made only to feed valve’s hunger for money.I remember playing cs 1.6 back in the day on my uncles computer and i remember the fun i had playing, one of if not the best game ever created, just thinking about it brings back so much nostalgia. The game was just created as a mod, for Half Life, but had so much success and it turned into something much bigger. Then i remember when source came out and how cool the new engine was, given it wasn’t as popular as 1.6, it was still a damn good game in which i racked up hundreds of hours and long sumer nights on deathmatch servers perfecting my ak.My favorite part of it were the new physics of the source engine and how the ragdoll worked. In 2011 i saw the trailer for Counter Strike: Global Offensive and, being a long time CS fan, it looked jaw dropping. I couldn’t wait for it to come out and when it finally did, i wasn’t in a good financial position nor was my current pc good enough to handle it so i put it off for a while and eventually forgot about it. Then a few months ago i got my life together and decided to buy it when it was on sale, contrary to what my friends were telling me. I thought that they didnt understand the game and i being a long tme fan of the franchies would fit right in. Boy was i wrong…It started out all good, you know like all new things it looked very enticing and i kind of got lost in the gameplay for the first hundred hours. Then the more i found out about the game and what people were saying the more i disliked it. The first thing that really got to me were the microtransactions, being the skins gloves and spraypaint. This was one of my pet pieves even before i bought it i really didnt like the thought of a game which wasnt free having microtransactions. but, i ignored it telling myself it was just a cosmetic item it cant efect the game that much. As time went on i found out how bad the situation with the skins actually was, the unbelivable prices of some rarer items, the gambling sites, the status quoe of them and mostly how valve made a whole economy based on them. The game even in 2017, 17 years since the release of the initial CS and after 2 games still hasent been perfected and is riddled with various bugs, bad programming and a TERRIBLE anti-cheat system. Cheating wasnt that big of a problem in the 1.6 days, even though there were a considerable amount of cheaters, admins were always present to adress them properly if VAC didnt catch them. With similar situations on source servers. In CSGO you would think that they would have adressed that problem after releasing a game 8 years after the previous you would think that cheating wouldnt be present but unfortunently that is not the case and even competitive is riddled with cheaters. I feel like valve isnt investing much in that department and seems more worried about releasing new skins on which to make more money. I know that we cant have an admin on every competitive server overwatching every player suspected of cheating but whene theres a will theres a way to stop cheaters.Another big problem are the hit boxes, which i hear were even worse in previous versions of the game. When it comes to the hit boxes i just dont know what to say except that they arent where they are suppose to be many times and i end up missing a lot of shots that were aimed at the animation of the character but dont register on the hit box.the various other bugs that i found were more or less unimportant but the series having come this far i didnt expect to see them. This is my general impression with my few hundred hours in the game. even though i wasent the most hardcore cs fan it was still my favorite game «series» but with this latest game valve has really dissapointted me with there carelesness and greed. Overall i do not reccomend this game to anyone ESPECIALLY hardcore or long time fans of the series because it will only bring dissapointment.Thank you for taking your time to read my review and i hope that this will help you with your decision on whether or not to buy this game.

  1. This game is okay. It used to be some what fun, but now it has turned into hell russians (I have nothing against russians talking about the majority of russians who play this game. they are toxic, dumb, have uncontrollable anger and have no idea what they’re doing), dumbass kids, trolls. Don’t even get me started with cheaters. This anti-cheat system is filthy. So easy to bypass. It has gotten to the point where I have to pay more money for a 3rd party matchmaking system, ESEA, and even more toxic russians have invaded it that it is unplayable and almost impossible to make it out of the lower ranks (just like MM with silvers and novas). Hit-registration is also really bad. Valve «fixed» the hitboxes once, but it seems like nothing much has changed. They only made the hitboxes more precise and more in sync with player models, but hitreg is still messed up. Very often aiming dead on the head but seldom will be a kill. Lately I’ve noticed, that I’m getting kills when I’m not even aiming at the player model. That makes my gears grind. Valve makes so much money off of skins, stickers, you name it… Millions and they can’t produce a proper anti-cheat, hitreg and 128-tick servers, of course. Other than that, I think it is a fun game. It is fun, when I match up with and against players that don’t whine, communicate, don’t bash others for being bad at the game and try to win even if it is 1:15 There are a lot of fun gamemodes like surfing, arena, retakes and so on. I don’t recommend this game to any competitive person. This game will drive them nuts.

  2. This is an amazing game and reccommend it to anyone looking. CS:GO is a real eye-grabber and has become such a great game. Now let me go into detail….Negatives CS:GO Only has 2-3 negatives that I can think of… First of is the community, half the community is just horrible and some players are so bad that they put pressure on a player saying clutch or kick. Second of is VAC Reports…. Reports dont get responded to for a long time and just ruin the fun. VAC does not do its job properly on site of a hacker and I am forced to lose competitive matches due to it. The last downside is operation-passes, at the time of this review operation hydra pass is on sale for 6$. It has many upsiders but the pass is useless after the event ends and you just wasted your money on that 1.5% chance you will play enough games to get skins equal to that money. Players read the description and think that you get SO MUCH out of this even after the even… but in all honestly all it does helpful is give you a coin, recognition a few common skins.Positives Graphics, CS GO has amazing graphics and amazing animations… The look and feel of it is just like real life, it has a very good animation compared to other non-valve games with their trash animations. Valve gets precise reload times that would make sense and the gun physics are just like real life. Skins, CS:GO’s Skins are 100% custom… They bring a new feel to the game and just make it easier to get recognized. Servers, Valve makes their servers amazing so its easy to play with friends and gives a low ping when they are near by. The servers are 99.9% of the time up and its very helpful to know that you arent gonna get a massive ping spike in a custom game. New Gamemodes, The war game gamemode has really caught my attention as one of the best CS:GO Gamemodes, Stab-Stab-Zap provides a *BRILLIANT* Taser-game with only your knife and zeus accessible. Flying scoutsman is a great way to train on your SSG-08 Skills and Aiming Skills in general. Heavy-Assasult-Suit, I do not like this gamemode as much but its still a great gamemode providing a new experience in cs go while in reality not altering much. Boom! Headshot… Boom, is a wonderful way to work on getting those perfect headshots in competitive matches. And much more…CS:GO Is a great way to spend 15$ and I suggest that you get this game ASAPSincerleyInfinityy
